Without the French the American Revolution would have not been successful. The Americans were not strong enough to take down Britain alone. So France helped them by giving them ammo, soldiers, and other help. France helped the Americans with everything because the French wanted to take Britain down because they were their enemies. So the French allied with the Americans and helped them with their revolution.
If it weren't for the American Revolution and the French's help, today America would still be a part of Britain. Everything would have been very different we would be driving on the left and we will have a different way of talking. If the American Revolution and the French's help did not take place I would probably be living in some other part of the world or maybe even in Britain. Also I would not be the same person that I am today if it weren't for the American Revolution. So if it weren't for the American Revolution, the world would be a very different place.
The American Revolution was one of the biggest revolutions because it created the United States. The French helped supply the Americans with weapons during the American Revolution. The French sent large quantities of war supplies to the Americans. They also helped fight for them in the many battles that took place during the revolution. The American Revolution was not only a revolution between a country and Britain but it was more like a world war. The American Revolution got spread in many places around the globe it went to places like Spain, Europe, and France. Lots of countries were involved in the war so that is what made it so big. Almost all the countries that we involved in the revolution were on the Americas side. France was the most that helped with the revolution and if it weren't for them the Americans would have lost their independence. But the French lost a lot while helping the Americans because they gave them lots of war supplies and money so that led to a revolution.
In 1774 the French mister had sent secret emissaries to help the American colonists' commitment to independence. In 1776 congress sent Silas Deane to France as a secret commercial agent to make an agreement for the purchases of military supplies. Deane also made an agreement to get some military assistance. (11h. The French Alliance pars.3-4 ushistory.org). By 1780 Holland and Spain helped the French and Americans in the revolution. Also the French kept the United States government strong by giving them the money to keep the Revolution strong and going.
At the battle of Yorktown the majority of the American army was French soldiers. They used French guns and French money paid for all these things. The French navy trapped Cornwallis's soldiers at Yorktown by not letting the British ships come and rescue the British army. Many Americans thought that the Yorktown victory ended the American Revolution. But the British could have continued fighting. Ten thousand soldiers stayed in New York City. Thousands more could have come from England. But the British in 1783 decided to make peace with America. They did this for both political and military reasons. So that's when British granted them independence to become their own colony. They did that so they wouldn't have to fight off the French and Spain.
Finally the American Revolution came to an end. The new nation that got itself independent in 1786 was under a rule of "natural rights" that was the thoughts of John Locke. Also the ideas and values of the Declaration of Independence. Americans went to war to give man rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and that all men were created equal. Also they were under on government. They removed the world of kings, lords, and hierarchies and made it into a government with a president. (Perkins 500-510). That was what the American Revolution wanted to do.
The American Revolution was very big and it affected many places like France and Britain. It also bright a new nation to the groups of other nations. There were good things in the American Revolution and bad things. One of the good things was that there was a new nation and it focused on the rights of man, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and that all men are created equal. Also it was under one government and the people under the government had the right to choose what they want. The bad thing was that it affected lots of places like France they went into bankruptcy which then was the major leading to the French Revolution. Without the French the American Revolution would have never been successful and America would have never got their independence over the Britain nation.
