We might be violating some of the laws but as time passes by, we will know the importance of the ways on how we can protect our environment. We students can still help in improving the environmental situations in our country by initiating programs or campaigns that could help a lot. One good example is the environmental campaign, "Run for Pasig" where thousands of people joined in this event and used the money collected in maintaining the beauty of Pasig River. For us students of HTM course, we can also simply plant trees, use less air conditioning, teach children to clean up their rooms and clean up after themselves because these simple habits when embraced very young, will influence their adult behavior. Preserving existing trees whenever possible is also a good way in helping to improve our environment because some trees nowadays are destroyed because they are in the way of some other activity like building developments. As students, we should not also support activities that can harm the environment. We should learn how to recycle and lastly we should promote green living. Be a big influence to those that are around you. Let them know about what could happen if the environment goes down and what they can do to help. This does not always have to be a hard sell. If people see you doing it and see the benefits of doing it, things will just come in tune and the environment would be much better.
