4G technology is the future standard of mobile wireless devices and it will be successor of 3G in mobile handsets. The Generation is defined as development of change in technology around a new air interface which provides higher data rates or we transfer the data from end to end point.4G is tower less wireless, actually known as wireless ad hoc point-to-point networking.

Initially the 3g phones are of 2 Mbits/sec and 4G phones are of 10Mbits/sec .The users can switch from 3G to 4g if they accept the video following the audio is the next data stream transferred over the air. The customers want the services everywhere whether they are at home or in car or in train. 4G is development of wireless link at 100Mbits/sec while moving and 1Gbits/sec when stable. The development of wireless network is to connect to several present and future wireless access technologies.

4G components are moving down the 3G limitation to deliver Video/TV and internet access, WIMAX and DVBH are alternatives of 3G. These systems are based on OFDM technology. The technology components required for 4G are already developed but need improvements like interference, management, forward error detection, mesh networking and robust QOS. OFDM is the main technology.

4G holds the promise of delivering high transmission rate as much faster as 100 Mbits/sec for downloading and 50 Mbits/sec for uploading.

HANDSET FEATURES & ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES:-

MULTIMEDIA MESSAGING:-

This is the service for which low speed is required. This includes text messaging, ringtone downloads and message services such as news headlines, weather or stock market reports. These services were also used before also but it will be unlimited in the 4G phones. This messaging service includes the Ems and MMS in which it includes the picture messages and music messages. By using the java software which support for the different types of multimedia messages and digital music.

CAMERA & VIDEO IMAGING:-

There are two cameras in the mobile one is used of 5 megapixels for imaging and other is for video calling. This are two functions which can be done a simultaneously and in video imaging the 4G mobiles support for the TV channels at a rate of 1 Gbits/sec and if we are in moving trains the videos are of same clarity and there will be no disturbance in the channels and as well as their speed because this technology is based on the OFDM which consists of very large spectrum.

MOBILE IMAGING:-

In the 4G mobiles there is the camera of high clarity nearly of 5 megapixels and there are the camera phones of 2G and 3G also but with low clarity. The camera forecasts the images of saved pictures and also the video calling with high intensities. By using the mobile imaging we can download the screen savers and can be forwarded through the internet and multimedia messages. The 4G technologies will give way to 3-D virtual reality and interactive video/ hologram images. 4G will increase interactions between different technologies, the smart card in our telephone will automatically pay for goods as we pass a linked payment site - or it will tell our car to warm up in the morning, because our phone has set the alarm.

VIDEO IMAGING:-

4G is expected to provide better-than-TV quality images and video-links, even it is likely the customer demands will be changing by time. The communications model has developed new versions of HTML, Java, GIF, HTTP and many more. In this 4G phones the 3D images can be downloaded and can be superimposed on to any environment we need in this case looking a fish in aquarium, it instantly recognizes for what we are looking via in built sensors, while looking at something if we push button down then it will pulls up the hub of information on that particular sea creatures. The different technologies used in the video imaging are CODECS and MPEG4 are used as enablers.

List of models of 3G phones:

NOKIA N96

SAMSUNG M8800

SONY ERICSON C905

POSITIONING:-

Positioning is mainly based on the Location based services which presents the enterprise or consumer where we are so that the availability fundamentals of technology to deliver the services and applications. This is the significant challenge for the telecommunications careers and spatial information providers to offer such services to provide the location-aware devices. And in positioning Global positioning system is also include because as we change the place we must know the information of that place. This service is typically up to 10 15 meters by which the location of the device can be detected.

SYNCHRONISATION& SHORT RANGE MESSAGES:-

Synchronization is the process in which the data can be transferred from pc, hand held and also other mobiles. By using the high data transfer rate we can synchronize the data from our mobiles to any where and to any device of the world. By this technique the users can download the maps and display charts. It also enables the users to receive automatic notifications of weather, traffic, appointments. The main feature of this technology is users can do the e-commerce and mobile banking.4G phones can transfer the data up to 260 times faster than the current 3G network.

SLOT IN DATA CARDS:-

This is the facility must be provided in the 4G because as we use the internet services we can extend the memory cards in the phone and as well as ram also to increase the speed.

AUDIO& RINGTONES:-

This is the service used for the ringtones, digital music delivery, which can be downloaded and transferred. This must be stored in a virtual locker. By this audio device we can get the message services and radio channels from the different areas. 4G phones includes the wireless WIMAX through which the radio channels are received without any disturbances. The different ringtones can be transferred or received by using the narrow bandwidth services.

TOUCH SCREEN INPUT:-

Touch screen is the feature which is usually used in the 3G phones also. But the latest technology based in the 4G is to recognize the heat of the same finger. The screen also dependent on pressure for input not on the reaction of finger electricity so this makes the input relatively precise and this is further supporting by pen. The 4G includes the single touch display rather than the multiple-touch input to handle the input aspects or interface that can be controlled by finger.

MULTIMEDIA STREAMING:-

In the past the users were used to download the total multimedia contained entire clip in to hard drive and then watch it. The 3G phones will deliver the messages that consist of slide show presentations which contains still audio and texts. MMS enables rich contents also functioning as a high versatile platform for many mobile applications and services. Multimedia messages can be transferred and stored from internet applications. This messages goes to the receiving end or e-mail in the way of sms. When the media contents are becoming more in terms of message size streaming must be done to deliver the messages to the receiver by the server.

ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES:-

The role of the application programming language is that it is very high-level programming language that automates many of the basic functions which must be spelled in conventional languages and can obtain the results in less coding because of its greater content of commands. By using the java we can use the multimedia messages and games by which we can have the clear and less coded commands.

Blue tooth is the most using technology 3G &B 4G mobile operators have demanded the products which will offer the pc capabilities in a PDA factors. Folding keypads are not functional so they designed the blue tooth ''FROG PAD'' which is portable. The blue tooth headset also utilized without a cell phone to amplify and improve the sound quality in the noisy environments. The 4G uses the speed of 2.4 GHz .in 4G mobile phones blue tooth keypad, headset, many of them can be included.

As defined above the location based services is the technology used in the areas for the navigation and road maps. Location based services which presents the enterprise or consumer where we are so that the availability fundamentals of technology to deliver the services and applications. This is the significant challenge for the telecommunications careers and spatial information providers to offer such services to provide the location-aware devices.

Data compression is the main part of the 4G mobiles because of synchronization through the wireless system a large amount of data cannot be transferred so for that purpose the data compression must be done which is also known as streaming. When we try to download the large word or pdf file by the mobile network it takes generally hours together and there is a chance of breaking of connection. So for this reason the data compression is done to receive the message clear and full. By this data compression the utilization of the bandwidth is also increased.

ENABLING SERVICES:-

These are the services which must be enabled by personally

The most important part of the 4G mobiles are messaging of different types they are MMS,SMS,EMS and video messages which must be enabled by us. These are the services used for the transfer and receiving of different types of files and messages. These services are totally based on the wireless network.

LBS are the location based service which can be enabled in the area where we requires. This service can be used for navigation and to find the areas by their post codes.

HAND SET TECHNOLOGY ROAD MAP basically used for the show of paths for different areas and also for different regions. This road map must be set according to the different regions and for their countries. This is the easy application that can be placed in the 4G mobiles because it Is the WIMAX technology with a large number of spectrums.

CONCLUSIONS:-

From all the above applications of 4G Wireless technology we can conclude that the 4G mobiles are not only used for speech communication but it is used for every communication as speech, data, and television. This is nothing but a small tablet pc with full of features we can have the services like internet, television and telephone everywhere at any time.

This is my best experience in the field of next generation wireless technology which I preformed to be very well up to my expectation and my knowledge.
