INTRODUCTION
After considering the definition of organizational structure we can now see the task in detail. As this task wants to explore the cultural values about three companies. Following are these three companies.
First of all would like to introduce the companies in brief.
VODAFONE
Vodafone is a very big company having its base office in United Kingdom and controlling its business all over the world. This is a company dealing in cellular service providing. It is leading company in all over the world having a huge customer base.
Vodafone Group Plc is the world's leading mobile telecommunications company, with a significant presence in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and the United States through the Company's subsidiary undertakings, joint ventures, associated undertakings and investments.
The Group's mobile subsidiaries operate under the brand name 'Vodafone'. In the United States the Group's associated undertaking operates as Verizon Wireless. During the last few years, Vodafone Group has entered into arrangements with network operators in countries where the Group does not hold an equity stake. Under the terms of these Partner Market Agreements, the Group and its partner operators co-operate in the development and marketing of global products and services, with varying levels of brand association.
At 30 September 2009, based on the registered customers of mobile telecommunications ventures in which it had ownership interests at that date, the Group had 323 million customers, excluding paging customers, calculated on a proportionate basis in accordance with the Company's percentage interest in these ventures.
The Company's ordinary shares are listed on the London Stock Exchange and the Company's American Depositary Shares ('ADSs') are listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market. The Company had a total market capitalisation of approximately £71.2 billion at 12 November 2009.

As defined above Vodafone's organizational culture means their traditions, their presumptions, their beliefs and their strategies are easily defined as vertical shape hierarchy or their working structure. They recruit different peoples from different origins. They are adaptive to the rules of the government as and when required in different countries and that is also a reason for their success. Now we can see the organizational culture of Nokia.
NOKIA
There are three main business groups in Nokia Devices, services and markets. All these three main units receives functional support directly from the Corporate Development Office, led by Mary T. McDowell, which is also responsible for exploring corporate strategic and future growth opportunities in Nokia.
Let us briefly go through this three main groups.
STATE BANK OF INDIA
This is a leading centralised bank having base office in India and ran by the government itself. It is a government venture. Long before this bank was centralised by Indian government and now is a leading bank in the most successful bank of world. The origin of theState Bank of Indiagoes back to the first decade of the nineteenth century with the establishment of the Bank of Calcutta in Calcutta on 2 June 1806. Three years later the bank received its charter and was re-designed as the Bank of Bengal. A unique institution, it was the first joint-stock bank of British India sponsored by the Government of Bengal. The Bank of Bombay and the Bank of Madras followed the Bank of Bengal. These three banks remained at the apex of modern banking in India till their amalgamation as the Imperial Bank of India on 27-1-1921.
